No Objection Certficate (NOC) is required for all children below the age of 18 years who want to apply for Pakistan online visa. It is a mandatory requirment and must be provided even if the child(ren) is/are accompanied by parents. The NOC should be signed by both parents or legal guardians alongwith copy of thier passports and contact phone numbers.

Why the NOC is required if the children are accompanied by parents. There are several cases where the parents are divorced or separated and have dispute over children custody and one of the parants take the child or children without the consent of other. In such cases legal issues arise. To avoide legal issues and complications, the NOC is mandatory. If the parents are separated or divorced, the guardianship documents or court order should be uploaded.

Q. If the child of my relative who is less than 18 years is travelling with me without the child parents, do I need to provide the NOC?

Ans. Yes. However, the NOC must be signed by the parents or legal guardian of the child. The child parents should also provide a written auhority letter in the name of the person with whom the child will travel. It should clearly mention the name of the person, alongwith passport number. The concerned officer may ask for further documents, that is, guardianship proof or court judgement.

Q. I am divorced and my ex-husband and I both have joint custody of the child. Do I still need an NOC?

Ans. Yes. You need an NOC that should be singed both by you and your ex-husband. You should also get a clear authority / permission from your ex-husband that the child is travelling with you. In the permission / authority letter, the duration of the child stay with you should also be mentioned. The officer may ask you the proof of custody or court order for guardianship, if applicable.
